This is a PRELIMINARY ANNOUNCEMENT of a planned conference for summer 2009 
titled:
　
Galaxy Wars: Stellar Populations and Star Formation in Interacting Galaxies
　 
to be held in Johnson City, Tennessee, U.S.A. on July 20, 21, and 22, 2009 
with an Opening Reception on July 19, 2009 from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
　
Topics covered in this conference will include star formation triggering 
mechanisms, star formation thresholds, age-dating of stellar populations, 
star cluster formation and destruction processes, ring galaxies, and 
tidal dwarf galaxies, including both numerical modeling and 
multi-wavelength observations.

The meeting will take place at the Millennium Centre

in Johnson City, TN.  Rooms will be available at the

Johnson City is in the extreme northeast region of Tennessee, 
nestled in the southern Appalachian Mountains.  Two other cities are
neighbors to Johnson City, Bristol and Kingsport, which gives this
area the name of "The TriCities".  These cities are serviced by 
the TriCity, Tennessee (TRI) regional airport.

なにこれ。こういうことか。ありえん、こんなページ作っている暇があったらデフォルトの設定変えやがれ。

中央線に乗っていたら人身事故で緊急停止。自分の乗っていた車両は事故には関係なかったのだけども。記事になっていないようなので何が起きたかは分からないけど。もしそうだとしたら、停止する直前に人一人の人生が閉じて、ビニールの袋に詰め込まれる時間かと考えてしまい結構気が滅入った。

ということで自分の論文書きに復活、かとおもえば、来週の出張の準備をしないとならないのだなぁ。
